After School Uniform Turn In and End of Season Pizza Party:
The kids received an orange memo with this info on it. On the bottom of the memo was an RSVP form that needs to be turned in to the Community Education Office by NOON on Tuesday Oct. 18th, along with $3.50 cash or a check payable to Papa John's, for pizza and pop.

Boys win NWSC Championship!!!

What a great way to wrap up our season with the boys winning the Championship! We beat Andover, who won both the boys and girls High School Varsity races.  Dani Johnson won the girls race by 47 seconds and our girls team finished third.  With the boys and girls running at the same time and distance, Dani was so fast her time tied for 5th place overall.

Anna and I are both so proud of all our runners, everyone has improved a lot in the past 5 weeks. Our future looks very bright.  Thanks for a great season!

Jackson Girls Win the STMA Invitational!!!

Dani Johnson won the race and the Jackson girls won the meet. With 8 of our girls in the top 20, in 6th Cristina Zuniga, 11th Anna McIntrye, 12th Alyssa Brynjulfson, 14th Amanda Scott, 16th Jena Wachowiak, 19th Madysen Olson, 20th Riley Foss.

Jackson Boys had very strong performance and took 3rd Place by 1 point over Maple Grove. In 7th Aaron Kloeppner, 9th Steffan Okorafor, 21st Jason McCarthy, 25th Ian Ivens, 36th Joseph Cesare, 39th Bud Hjelmberg, 41th Jack Barthold.

            Directions: Head northwest on I-94 out of Maple Grove. Take the St. Michael-Hwy 241 exit (exit #205). Turn left (west) on Hwy 241 and go approximately 3.5 miles to County Road 19. Turn left (south) on County Road 19 and go approximately 1 mile to 32nd Street. Turn left (east) on 32nd Street and go approximately 2 blocks. Curve right as you go down the hill. The Rec Center is to your left at the bottom of the curve.

Permission Slips

Students will need a permission slip to be released early from class on days of our meets. The permission slips will need to be turned in to the Attendance Office the day before(preferred) or the morning of the meet.

Sample Wording of a permission slip for the first Meet:
"Please excuse (Student Name) from school on Friday September 23, 2011 at 2:40pm for a meet with the Jackson Middle School Running Team. Thank You."
